Forum Of Composers And Musicians

About Us

FOCAM aims to increase awareness, participation and critique of new music through performance, composition and criticism.

One of our central aims is to increase the opportunities for live concert performances of student compositions and new music repertoire. Central to this objective is to bridge the gap between performers and composers, allowing fruitful exploration of instrumental and electro-acoustic possibilities.

FOCAM will run a series of performance-led workshops in addition to regular calls-for-works, a series of talks by leading musicologists, composers and performers from outside the University and a social calendar to include excursions to new music gigs and pubs.
